In May of 2012, Dave and I spent five terrific days in London, England. After years of reading, planning, looking at videos and photos of the UK, we finally had our time to visit some of the historical sights. I apologize none of the photos have captions.
I've never been overseas before, so this was a first. We arrived everywhere we needed to be well ahead of time, so it was an easy travel day thankfully.
We arrived at the hotel, checked in and freshened up, then headed right over to visit the Queen. We didn't get far, but we tried.
I had no idea what I was in store for when we arrived here. Just truly amazing. And the gardens were spectacular.
The Dali Lama showed up unexpectedly, so we weren't able to see St. Paul's. This turned out to be a good thing because it gave us more time at a rainy Tower of London.
Another wonderful train ride took us to Windsor and Windsor Castle. Then we spent a wonderful evening at the theater.
We should have spent the entire day at Westminster, as we were both disappointed with Kensington Palace, except for the gardens and the really nice tea.
